Grand Rapids Food Shelf
2222 Cromell Drive in La Prairie
1.5 miles east of Grand Rapids on
the south side of Hwy 2.
Open Tuesdays Wednesdays and
Thursdays 10:30am to 3pm.

Serving the communities of Grand Rapids, Cohasset, Bovey, Coleraine, and Marble.
Those living in the communities above who are unable to meet basic food needs are
eligible to use the Grand Rapids Food Shelf. Approximately 3-5 days worth of food
is given for no charge. Income guidelines may apply. People can use the food shelf once a month.
Grand Rapids Food Shelf also distributes the MAC and NAPS commodity program to eligible participants from the
Grand Rapids area during those hours.
Donations to the Grand Rapids Food Shelf can be made anytime Second Harvest Food Bank is open: 7:30am to 5pm
Monday - Thursday and 8am - noon Friday.

Mothers, Children and
Seniors MAC and NAPS
The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) is available to low income mothers and children who
aren't on WIC and to seniors over 60 who meet income guidelines.
The USDA program provides a free, approximately 40 pound box, of high quality
shelf
stable food and cheese each month at over 30 locations in our
service area.

Itasca Holiday Program
Second Harvest partners with businesses, civic organizations, churches, school groups and individuals to provide
a holiday food box to Itasca area families, disabled adults and seniors and books and gifts for children during the holidays.
This comprehensive annual program provides a happier holiday for those in need thanks to a caring
community. Contact us in December for current information on the Itasca Holiday Program.
Nutrition Outreach Program
Provides several programs:
* Kids Packs to Go supplemental food sent home with school children who are at risk of hunger over long weekends
or holidays.
* Kids Cafe, a partnership with the Cass Lake Boys and Girls Club, providing after school enrichment and a meal
or snacks
* Mobile Pantries provide a food shelf on wheels to isolated communities
* Nutrition education is provided to food shelf clients and children and hunger awareness programs are available
for the general public

We offer an interactive session on understanding local hunger in "Minnesota Hunger 101".
Group meeting facilities
